Adventure Alerts, operated by No More Secrets, LLC.
Last updated July 26, 2026. The canonical version of this policy is published at myadventurealerts.com/refunds.
This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Adventure Alerts subscriptions and credit packs. It supplements our Terms of Service and is incorporated into them by reference; if this policy conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
Payments for Adventure Alerts are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, receipts, applicable taxes, and the actual issuing of refunds.
Adventure Alerts subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose) and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
Paid plans include a monthly allowance of credits. Credits are how alerts are metered: setting an alert on a booking window uses one credit. Monthly allowance credits refresh each month up to your plan’s budget; unused ones do not carry over. Credits you purchase separately (see “Credit packs” below) never expire.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep full access until then, and you won’t be charged again. Cancelling is not the same as a refund; the sections below cover what actually gets refunded.
Monthly plans are non-refundable for the current billing period. When you cancel, you keep access through the period you’ve already paid for, and no further charges are made.
On an annual plan, you can request a refund within 30 days of your purchase or of an annual renewal charge:
Credits you return through the per-alert refund window described below do not count as used. A refund under this section ends your subscription immediately (unlike a cancellation, which runs to the end of the period): your plan reverts to Free, and any remaining monthly allowance credits lapse. Credits you bought in packs are untouched.
After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable, but your subscription stays active through the end of the year you’ve paid for.
Credit packs are one-time purchases of credits that do not expire. A credit pack is refundable in full within 14 days of purchase, provided no credits from that pack have been used.
Once any credit from a pack has been used, the pack is no longer refundable through the standard process. If you think your situation deserves an exception, contact [email protected]; we may, at our discretion, refund a used pack in full as part of closing or resetting your account.
By purchasing a credit pack you request immediate delivery of the credits and acknowledge that, where a statutory withdrawal right would otherwise apply, using any credit from the pack before the withdrawal period ends means you lose that right for the pack, to the extent permitted by law.
If you set an alert and change your mind, you can remove it and get the credit back automatically, as long as you act promptly: currently within 1 hour of setting the alert and no later than 15 minutes before the booking window opens, whichever comes first. The credit returns to wherever it came from (your monthly allowance or a purchased pack). Outside that window, the credit has been used.
The Free plan is never charged, so there’s nothing to refund. The one-time credit you get when you create an account is a gift: it has no cash value and is not refundable or redeemable for money.
Credits generally have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money except as expressly provided in this policy.
If an alert fails because of our own error, we will return the credit for that alert once we’ve verified what happened: the credit goes back to wherever it came from, with no time limit attached. If that returns a purchased pack to fully unused within its refund window, the pack becomes refundable again under “Credit packs” above. We may also offer additional remedies at our discretion.
Please email [email protected] before filing a chargeback with your bank; we can almost always sort it out faster than a dispute can.
Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle also handles your receipts and any applicable taxes. Refunds typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
